“Chicken” nuggets

One thing that I enjoy is fried foods.

Why are the foods that are so bad for you.. SO GOOD?

Besides the likes of store-bought French Fries (that I bake).. I really don’t dabble in deep frying much, maybe once a year.

Last Year, was actually the last time I made these “Chicken Nuggets”

So funny story:

Once upon a time there was a girl named She. She Loveace. She wanted to go to Asia, through a meal she was preparing. She bought a bottle of Chili sauce, brought it home, and sat it on the counter. As soon as She left the kitchen ” CRACK”. She thought, “what?” She came back to a kitchen, where a broken bottle of Chili Sauce looked her in the face. She didn’t cry or get upset because She knew that cooking was art for her and therefore she was to improvise. That’s exactly what She did. Improvised. She created another dish and lived happily ever after. THE END

“Chicken” Nuggets

Ingredients:

  • 1head of cauliflower, cut into florets or pieces
  • 3-4 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Rice Cereal, grounded in blender
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • Seasoned Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion powder
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder
  • 1-2 Tbsp Barbecue sauce
  • Hot sauce
  • Oil for deep frying

Put cauliflower pieces into a large bowl. Add Spices (I didn’t add measurements for anything because, it’s basically up to you). Then add small amount of barbecue sauce. Cover cauliflower with Saran, and sit in fridge for up to 1 hr. (Or if you are like me with no sense of time, start cleaning, wash clothes, do your hair, take a nap and wait 5 hours). Let the mixture marry the cauliflower.

After you take cauliflower out, prepare your dip cups (the word pairing is awful and sounds gross but whatever you know what I mean)

Add Eggs and hot sauce to a bowl.

Add flour and seasonings to another bowl.

To a third bowl, add cereal and same seasonings.

If you can’t tell what’s going on, we are gonna “double dip” the cauliflower.

First, in egg

Then, flour

Back in Egg

Then, cereal

Repeat until cauliflower pieces are coated.

Then We Fry

LASTLY, WE EAT.

As is, or with your favorite sauce.

I dunked mine in a Buffalo + Barbecue Sauce. Buffacue…Barbelo🤔 💭
